Contractor Testimony to be Considered at Off-Road Diesel Regulation Hearing
California Air Resources Board to consider amendments to regulation
SACRAMENTO -Contractors affected by requirements to reduce or retrofit off-road diesel fleets can inform state air quality regulators about the impact of these regulations on their business at a public hearing next week in Sacramento.
Testimony is being accepted at the California Air Resource's Board's (ARB) hearing on March 11, 2010 9:00 a.m. in the California Environmental Protection Agency (Cal EPA) Building's Byron Sher Auditorium, at 1001 I Street, Sacramento. Public comment will follow presentations by ARB staff and the Associated General Contractors of America, which filed a petition earlier this year to delay the regulations two years, given the construction industry's economic decline and the reduction of off-road vehicle emissions. Testimony must follow the guidelines described in this document: http://www.arb.ca.gov/regact/nonreg/inuse2010.pdf.
