Free Seminar Helps Seniors Spot Scams

State Consumer Protection Agencies Focus on Fraudulent Business Practices

SUN CITY — Area seniors are invited to a free consumer information seminar hosted by the California Contractors State License Board and the Kay Ceniceros Senior Center.

The seminar will include useful information about how seniors can protect themselves from fraudulent business practices. It will cover topics to include home remodeling, home lending and auto repair fraud. Representatives from the California Contractors State License Board, the Bureau of Automotive Repair, local law enforcement and the AARP will be on hand to answer questions and provide helpful tips. Reservations are not required.
