Suspension of 7065.1(a) Waiver of Exam
Effective September 1, 2003, the Registrar will begin to exercise his discretion regarding examination waivers pursuant to section 7065.1(a). This section of law permitted waiver of the exam for applicants who had been listed on a license in good standing for five of the past seven years. Applications postmarked after September 1, 2003, will be coded and processed as exam applications and the qualifier will be required to take the appropriate license exam. All applications postmarked September 1 or before will be processed as waiver applications where appropriate.
NOTE: Waiver of the exam will continue under circumstances described in Contractors License Law sections 7065, 7065.1(b) and (c), 7065.2, 7065.3 and 7065.4.
